Chair Yoga Teacher

Chair yoga is an adaption of mat yoga.  Yoga means union between mind & body; so chair yoga is a gentle, accessible means by which anyone can benefit from breath mastery & meditation which uses simple postures for those whom find it hard to balance when doing floor yoga or have disabilities or other challenges.

The Lesson Plan

  1. Why does chair exercise work?
  2. Health - your responsibilities
  3. Introducing you to your mood
  4. Stretch and feel alive - 5 mins
  5. Make friends with your breath 

(layered, box, 4-in-6-out)- 5 mins

  1. Upper body postures - 15 mins
  2. Lower body postures - 15 mins
  3. Breath mastery - 5 mins
  4. Conclusion and review your mood
  5. Next steps - come back if it works 


N.B. Posture style will vary according to the theme, 

ashtanga, forrest, hatha, anxiety, mood etc.
